A Preview of Winter X Games 2015

Anticipation is building as the 2015 Winter X Games approach, taking place in Aspen from January 22nd to the 25th. These next X Games are expected to be the highlight of 2015, as big names approach the ice seeking to win medals and break personal records.

The Winter X Games recently released schedule highlights the four day event, which kicks off Wednesday at 7pm with the Ski SuperPipe Women’s Final. Thursday morning will be the Men’s Snowboarding Qualifying Round, followed by a men’s skiing elimination round, an X course round, and the Special Olympics snowboarding competition. The rest of Thursday and Friday are dedicated to Men’s and Women’s snowboarding competitions, with Saturday and Sunday highlighting the skiing and snowmobile competitions and the snowboard final bouts.

In addition to the high-level sports action taking place during the event, big-ticket artists Skrillex, Wiz Khalifa, Chromeo, and Snoop Dogg will be performing to add more value to the admission fee. Snoop is set to perform Friday evening, while Chromeo and Skrillex performances will take place Saturday, Wiz Khalifa’s closing things out on Sunday afternoon.

Moreover, if these weren’t enough to pack in a long weekend, day 4 includes a Major League Gaming match in the realm of Counter Strike: Global Offensive.

Tickets are expected to run at a wide range, with some as low as $150 for a 4-day music pass and others going up to $1,800 for the “SuperPipe Platinum Suite Experience,” which includes access to suites inside the SuperPipe control tower, live broadcast, a pre-game guided tour, VIP viewing areas for the concerts and events, a special concierge, and much more.
