UFC 181

Torque is excited to be a big part of the action in this week’s UFC181, taking place this weekend Saturday December 6 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. Torque Sports and Performance co-owner Urijah Faber will be facing Francisco Rivera as the main event on Fox Sports 1 Prelims, and on the main card we are honored to sponsor Brandon Schaub.

The Cali Kid, steps into the Octagon after his masterful win at UFC 175, proving that he deserves to be one of the top contenders in the Bantamweight division. Faber will once again be headlining the prelims on FOX Sports 1, a spot he says he loves to be on. He did so in his last fight against Alex Caceres at UFC 175 and all who tuned in got to see him lock up a rear-naked choke for the finish in the third round. With his teammate TJ Dillashaw now the current champion, and old rival Dominick Cruz back in the mix, the bantamweight division is getting more and more interesting heading into 2015. The 33-year-old Francisco Rivera has power at 135 pounds, finishing seven of his opponents via knockout or technical knockout. This match promises to be full of energy and action. Faber will walk out with the Sacramento Tee, an original design that is part of his signature collection.
Schaub will be facing Travis Browne, who only has 3 losses since the beginning of his career in 2009 and is ranked #3 in the official UFC Heavyweight rankings. After retiring from football Schaub trained martial arts with his father and holds a Brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Schaub is also a finalist from the tenth season of “The Ultimate Fighter”, he is an amazing finisher and hardly finds himself in a fight that is not exciting. Both fighters are coming off two losses and are ready to put on a show. Schaub will step into the octagon sporting a new and original design in black and white.
UFC181 is a “Must Watch” fight before the year ends. The main card airs on pay-per view following the prelims on Fox Sports and UFC Fight Pass, it all starts at 7PM/4PM ETPT.
